Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Humoze collects when you use our AI note-taking app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in method (email and password, Google, or Microsoft) when you create an account.
Content you create: audio recordings you capture or upload, the transcripts, summaries, action items, flashcards, notes, tasks, and folders generated from them.
Messages you send us: anything you submit through our contact form, including your name, email address, and message.
Usage data: basic analytics about how the website and app are used, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide Humoze: to transcribe and summarize your recordings, organize your notes, sync them across your devices, and let you search and export them.
We also use it to secure your account, respond to your messages, understand how the product is used so we can improve it, and communicate important service updates.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your recordings or notes to advertise to you.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run Humoze, including authentication, hosting, speech-recognition and AI processing, and analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics). These providers process data only to perform services for us.
Your audio and transcripts are sent to our AI and speech-recognition providers solely to generate your transcripts and summaries.
Recording and consent
Recording laws differ by country and region. You are responsible for getting the consent of everyone you record, such as meeting participants or lecturers, where the law or institution requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual notes and recordings at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before it is permanently removed.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated access to protect your data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@humoze.com.
Children
Humoze is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@humoze.com.
